Q: What is Kyoto Backpackers House?
A: Bascially Kyoto Backpackers House is a hostel which provides affordable accommodation for people travelling internationally on a low budget. A hostel is a cheap alternative to using a hotel but that’s not the only reason to visit us, it's also a fantastic way to meet other travellers and learn more about the kyoto first hand. We have private rooms with fresh bed linen.

Q: How can I reserve a room?
A: You can book a room from the reservation page.

Q: When do I make payment?
A: You need to pay your fee when you check-in.

Q: What are the check-in and check out times?
A: Check-in time is between 15:00 - 20:00 and check-out is 8:00 - 11:00, if you would like to check-in or check-out at a different time please let us know when you make a reservation.

Q: Do you accept group reservations?
A: You can contact about a group booking on our contact page.

Q: Do you need Identification?
A: Yes, please provide us with a current photo ID, a passport or Drivers License when you check in.

Q: Do you accept children?
A: We do allow children over the age of 7 to stay if they are accompanied by an adult guardian.

Q: Do you have a curfew?
A: For security we will close the front door at 24:00 and switch off the lights in the common areas, so you need to be back before this time, if you are late there is a penalty of 500 yen. Please be quiet after this time to respect others.

Q: May I smoke in the building?
A: You may only smoke in the dining Area.

Q: What Internet connection is available?
A: There is Free Wi-Fi access and a common computer available for you to use, when using the common computer please limit it to 1 hour at a time if there are people waiting.

Q: Do you have bikes available to use?
A: There are bikes available to rent at 500 Yen & deposit  2500 Yen per Day.

Q: Do you provide Towels?
A: There are rental towels available 100 yen for large and 50 yen for face towels.

Q: May I eat and drink in the building?
A: Yes sure but please do so at the dinning table.

Q: Do I have to bring my own linen or a sleeping bag?
A: No. We provide bedding, blankets and a pillow also we have bath towels available upon request.

Q: Do your prices include taxes?
A: Yes! Our prices include all taxes.

Q: Do I need a membership to stay at Kyoto Backpackers House?
A: No membership is required to stay with us, you just need to book from our Web Site
